DIRECTOR OF SYSTEMS CONSULTANTS

2000 through 2001 - NEON Systems, Inc.

Responsible for the delivery of technical sales assistance involving all aspects of both pre- and post-sales consulting support to a sales staff located in 25 countries. Managed a staff of professional consultants who were specialists in a wide range of mainframe and client/server platforms and applications. eBusiness, B2B, data access, and XML products were supported with architectural recommendations, training and demonstrations. Developed training requirements, including certification criteria, for staff and sub-contractors. Developed methodology for providing Quality Control for consultants. Created training and integration laboratory and implemented change control. Implemented resource scheduling methodology.

DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER - Contractor

2000 - Computer Sciences Corporation

Responsible for the asset inventory efforts of a consortium of four major oil company entities throughout the United States; including implementation and security of enterprise server (Proliant 8000), hiring and management of contractors, design and implementation of interface infrastructure, and ad hoc reporting capability relative to a wall-to-wall inventory of all IT hardware and software and networking components, using CA-Unicenter TNG. VPN deployment to hundreds of home users and on-the-road sales and marketing staff.

PROJECT MANAGER

1996 through 1999 - SIG, Inc.

Provided Y2K project management services to three multi-national corporations. Designed and supervised performance of a global technical hardware and software inventory for National Oilwell, Inc. Performed the Discovery Phase of the Y2K project for Headquarters, American General Corporation. Managed the Discovery and Evaluation/ Planning Phases of the embedded systems project for Chevron’s North American Exploration and Development sites.

Assignments included design of risk management analysis tools and matrices, executive-level status presentations, management of consultant specialists, project planning, data analysis, educating and interfacing with business unit executives, and tracking third-party vendor and other party Y2K-compliance status and plans.

Special Examiner for the Texas Department of Insurance performing examinations of IS Controls and Y2K projects undertaken by insurance companies doing business in Texas.

Since 1989, published specialized commercial software for the printing industry. Provided IT and business consulting services under retainer contracts. Served as expert witness and consultant for law firms regarding technology issues. Developed a capitalization plan for a Houston business used for its sale. Interconnected HAM radio equipment to be used with Internet to traditional MS-DOS, Windows, and Windows NT applications. Developed, sold and installed interactive business software for businesses in New York and Texas. Recommended, purchased, and installed numerous computer system upgrades (firewalls, WINS, DNS, Access, HTML, Lotus Notes, MS Exchange).

Institutional portfolio management and analytical services for banks. Devised methods and strategies to use computer models to improve the financial performance of zero-coupon bonds and to recommend portfolio position swaps.

1985 through 1986 - Robert Thomas Securities, Yield Enhancements Strategy Group

Portfolio management and analytical services for securities firm. Designed and implemented computer models using both PL/1 and FORTRAN needed to track, analyze and recommend US Treasury Bond portfolio transactions. The application provided banking specialists with a tool to recognize and take advantage of trading opportunities.
